About Our Farm

We are a family of five stumbling our way through becoming more self sufficient. Our kids are 3, 4.5 and 6. They are the absolute center of our world. We started becoming more self sufficient because of, and for them. We want to ensure they have healthy, home grown food, no matter what is going on in the world. To us, homesteading encompasses our whole life, from what we eat, how we eat it, to how we raise our children, and what we teach them.

We purchased our small farm in 2019. Each spring since, we have planted a vegetable garden. That garden has doubled in size each year too! Last year our main garden was approximately 40ft by 75 ft. We focus primarily on growing a variety of different tomatoes and peppers. We also had a ton of other vegetables. We started a fruit garden this past year too. It has two different varieties of strawberries, ground cherries, raspberries and blackberries. We are also learning different ways to preserve the food we grow, so we can eat it year round. We have a small sugar shack and tap maple trees to make our own maple syrup too!

We are selling seedlings this spring to locals in the Warkworth, Brighton and Smiths Falls, Ontario areas
